Our Planning 10 content has been moved to The City, a new resource from the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada. It’s modeled after the BC Securities Commission’s previous Planning 10 online resource. Please visit The City to access course materials or go to the Teachers & Youth section of InvestRight.org.
We are excited to announce a newly redesigned version of the British Columbia Securities Commission’s (BCSC) Planning 10: Finances online resource, which is now a part of InvestRight.org.
This comprehensive and easy-to-use online resource meets the learning outcomes and achievement indicators of the Finances section of the BC Government’s Planning 10 curriculum. It is designed to help students manage their personal finances in both their present and future lives while also meeting the needs of BC teachers.
In a specific teacher section, teachers will find the online version of the teacher resource binder, including all modules. The hardcopy version of the binder is being phased out.
Everything teachers need to teach Planning 10: Finances is now online, including lesson plans, test questions, overheads, handouts, hands-on activities, and realistic financial documents.
In addition, a Managing Finances section provides users with personal financial management information including key ideas and concepts, worksheets and personal assessments borrowed from the teacher resource.
A Tools section provides users with a variety of financial calculators, key worksheets, a glossary and links to other useful financial resources.
We hope you find the Planning 10: Finances additions to the InvestRight site to your liking. Let us know what you think in our comment section.
